Fast delivery. Sturdy design. Hard, quality plastic that might last the Texas Summers.Took birds about two weeks to catch on. More so when I filled it with seeds. While I waited for seeds to arrive, I put some dried blood worms I had in the bottom tray. So nothing was really visible. Two days later seed arrives, now it’s becoming grand central station.I will take out half the seed so I can see the birds on the other side. Right now the full seeds block the view.I work from home and have this outside my office window. I think they love that it sways as they visit. They get really lively.I’m worried that the seeds dropping will land in the flower bed below and grow stuff. It seems some of them pick and dump what they don’t like!!! [amazed face]

I have domesticated cardinals who are total feeder snobs. Any changes I make and they get upset, especially the female. The old feeder was ok for them but I felt it was too small, and I wanted something longer. When I first put it out they chirped me out everytime I went outside, the female even sat by the back door chirping in dissatisfaction. They were already mad because I tried them on all safflower to rid out the Grackles. We’ve had these cardinals for 2 yrs so they like things to never change, they’re similar to parakeets in how they mate and do not like changes in their territory. So, to meet them half way I clipped pant hangers to the perch of the feeder so they would try it. Although, I know they could fit on it regardless, I saw a larger grackle on it before the mod. They are just spoiled.

I have had several bird feeders over the years, but this feeder is by far the best I’ve purchased. It has a fairly large seed capacity, is easy to fill and clean, and is very sturdily built. I particularly like that the hanging cable is attached to the BASE of the feeder, rather than just to the roof of the feeder. increasing its overall sturdiness and decreasing the likelihood of the roof separating from the body of the feeder, as many other feeders have in the past. Great feeder, good quality, very reasonable price.

I was worried since we were replacing a wooden one we had had for years. This came in and itโs sturdier than I expected. Being plastic and a heavy plastic itโs easy to clean, much easier than wood was. The birds adjusted easily to the change. We have a family of Cardinals That use it all day long. Nice thing is the squirrels have not figured out how to get into it. They have their own feeders so they are not neglected.

The slots for the seed to dispense are very narrow, so itโs a positive for not losing seed too quickly but hard to get in to dislodge chunks of seeds or peanuts, etc. The design has an overhang of plastic above the feeding slot, which is odd. It took three days for the sparrows and finches to try this feeder. The perches are a little challenging for them to be able to reach under the overhang. However, it is very sturdy and weatherproof, and easy to fill.

This is the second time I’ve bought this feeder. It’s my favorite because it’s easiest to clean of all the feeders I have. Also the seed continuously flows out as the birds eat from the tray, whereas with other feeders I have to shake them daily to make the seed distribute to the tray. The only flaw is on the second one the lid that is lifted and closed to fill with seed was not trimmed properly, there was plastic protruding that prevented the lid from closing. I filed it off and I think it’s ok. Hopefully rain will not get through that hap.

This bird feeder is simple. It hangs sturdy in wire. Easy to fill, the roof opens on top. My favorite reason I recommend this product is no leaks with rainstorms. In Alabama, we have many rainy, spring days with high winds. Most other feeders I lose my birdseed. So far, this bird feeder has not leaked, no wet seeds. Birds are attracted to clear glass, I refill seeds every two days.

Plastic doesn’t seem like it will hold up long. Time will tell. The birds can use it just fine.
