I’m very satisfied with these feeders as are the many feathered friends, and my cat who watches from indoors.I read a few reviews about how difficult this is to open. Not sure what the issue is there as I’ve no problem refilling them.Other comments about the perch being too small? I guess it depends on how large of birds do they want at the feeder. I’ve got everything from chickadees to cardinals who don’t have any problems. Maybe adding a couple of clothes pins if you want larger birds?Overall, its a bird feeder, not rocket science and for the price, these are a great bargain!

Cute to look at, birds perch with ease. I was hoping the tiny feeding area would keep off the blackbirds, but it didn’t.It wasn’t a promise with the product, but my wishfilled thinking. It is difficult the fill them without taking the feeder down. Mine are already zip tied up because of the squirrels, so I still prefer to lift the lids, tilt and fill, tighten cap. These feeders tilt and spill during filling from a hanging position.I was hoping they were a bit more sturdy as other feeders of the same type..They are pretty nice to look at. No ugly sticky labels. No swinging squirrels yet!Instead of investing additional money in sturdy feeding poles to set them on, I would probably prefer a different feeder. Our ground is frozen solid and hammering poles right now isn’t an option. also, I do not know if they sit level on a pole or no. In warmer weather I can try these on a garden pole and perhaps love the outcome. Until then, would I buy it again, no. If I do love them on a pole then I may still need to replace a couple garden poles, back to where to spend the money… If you don’t mind spillage and a bit of an added chore you’ll enjoy these. They are cute, but….

I used these during the winter months and retire them in the spring (I have cats that go outside when it warms up and do not want birds nesting in my area). These were economical, and I was worried they would be “cheap” and fall apart by the end of winter. They were well made and lasted four months with up to 75 visitors a day, plus one hungry squirrel. I will pull them out of storage next winter, the help my friends during the winter months.

I have searched everywhere to find this design of feeder. It is the best feeder, according to the birds, that I can find on the market today. I have 12 feeders and the birds like this one the best! It is the first one they go to and it is empty way before my other feeders. I hope this remains available because I will buy again and again because my birds love this design and let’s face it, we want more birds that is why we feed them. Do I think they charge to much for it……yes, but you cant find another like it anywhere. Believe me I have tried, but I am still looking. ** update*** I ordered a second set and the shipper just through them in a flimsy box all by themselves and by the time they reached me they were broken all to pieces. So now I have to drive 20 minutes out of my way to return them. Removing 2 stars for that!!!

You get what you pay for. These are cheaper than most bird feeders, but, they are cheaply made too. One of the two broke the first week. It basically has a screw on top and the plastic broke just simply trying to turn the top and lock it in place. So- that was it. The other one, the top isn’t always secured, because we’re afraid of breaking the plastic on it too. We just don’t fill it full and hope for the best. Again, they’re cheaper, but… won’t last you too long.

At the time, was a good value. So the tray issue was just a lesson learned.Birds are drawn to it. I recently rigged a tray to feeder, and the birds are thrilled. It’s sturdy, even has taken a tumble (squirrels?), and survived in tact.I would recommend it as an additional feeder. Can’t have too many feeders!

This feeder offers the small birds a grip but confounds the bullies. They still try, battling around the feeder but then they drop the food on the ground which is then eaten by the squirrels or eventually the ground feeders. On a porch or closer to people, it is a nice feeder for a quiet approach by small finches, etc.

Not as sturdy as it looks.
