Before you open this box, fill a bag with cat pee and chuck it at your neighbor, get in to a big fight as a warm up for what’s coming. If you have a pet wolverine, kick it, then start unpacking this. Once the box is open you’re introduced to the satan spawn of a Rubik’s cube and a kite string after you’re kids spend 2 minutes flying the kite at the beach. Between untangling the icicles with the main string, mulling over poor life choices and refraining from screaming uncontrollably, I realized how lucky I was that these are well built as I tossed them back and forth across the driveway. Once I finally had them untangled they actually went up fairly easily. The end result is pretty epic. I don’t even want to think about unpacking them next year after I toss them all in a box, hopefully it’s a better rats nest then what I’ve already endured.

The lights are very bright and the colors are nice. I connected 3 strands on one control plug (the max recommend) and there’s no noticeable difference in brightness from one end to the other. I’ve only had them up for a week so I can’t speak to durability but I noticed that when cycling through the different flashing modes, for any of the modes that separate the blue/green and red/yellow lights, the strands would not be in sync. Meaning that when 2 adjacent strands had red/yellow lit, the 3rd would have blue/green and they’d flip as the lights went through their cycle. On our house that looks weird so for now I just leave them in a mode that will slowly blink with all the lights on at the same time. It still looks nice but it would be a lot nicer to have all the modes work correctly. Also make sure you note and like that the order of light color is the same on every strand (as shown in the main product photos). This can make it a little obvious that there are specific horizontal bands of colors and I think it would look nicer if that were done randomly but it’s not a defect so I wouldn’t dock it based on that.

finally an led pricepoint to beat conventional icicle string lights for this length. I didnt need the different transition modes, but that is a nice feature add. will try to remember to update next season whether they survive their time in the attic. would love to be done with conventional bulbs for outside.

They are very bright and very purple! They look amazing. The icicles are long and unraveled easy. My only negative is when you unplug them and plug them back in they reset to setting #1 so you have to change it every time

When I saw these were 8 function, I assumed they would have a button on them that allowed the functions to be chosen. Nope! Wish I had more control over that, which is why I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars. No remote or button to control the modes. They look nice, though!

These lights are so bright and really striking, but I’m having the issue where when they turn on with my timer they immediately reset to the flashing light setting. This is pretty annoying since the whole point of having them on a timer is to forget about them, but instead I have to manually change it every day. Otherwise, the quality seems good and they so far have been really lovely decorations for the house.

The color is great as well as the ability to control them. What I don’t like is that If a slight wind blows most of the lights end up on the roof and not dangling.
